For the first time in 28 years, Norway's men's national football team has qualified for the World Cup, and the entire country is celebrating, including its top politicians.

A video from inside the Storting (the Norwegian Parliament) has gone viral on social media, showing the nation’s lawmakers completely breaking their usual formal decorum to support the national team.

In the video, several politicians, including opposition leader Erna Solberg, are seen joining in the famous rhythmic chant, "Ro! Ro!" (Norwegian for "Row!") right inside the assembly hall.

This new World Cup chant, the "Viking Row", originally grew popular after Norway’s recent pre-World Cup win against Sweden.

However, it achieved global fame after Norwegian supporters travelled to Boston for the team's World Cup debut (where Norway secured a 4-1 victory over Iraq), and quite literally 'rowed' for the entire match.

Parliamentary President Masud Gharahkhani led those present, and the session ended with a roaring collective shout of "Heia Norge!" to cheer on the team.

The clip has taken the internet by storm, proving that World Cup fever spares absolutely no one in Norway this summer.
