The fatalities were a woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s, said a police statement.
The incident happened at around 11:00 am (0900 GMT) near the Hemsedal ski station northwest of Oslo, catching four people.
Rescue teams, volunteers and a helicopter were mobilised to find and recover the victims.
According to media reports, the dead man was Swedish and the woman was Norwegian. Both were permanent residents and part of the local population in Hemsedal municipality.
It was not clear how badly hurt the two injured skiers were.
"It is terribly sad to have such an incident at the end of what has otherwise been a relatively quiet Easter," Jarle Bjørge Øverland, head of the national council of the Red Cross Search and Rescue Corps, told VG.
