Three planes unable to land at Bergen airport after fire-related terminal evacuation

A truck fire caused air traffic problems at Flesland Airport in Bergen on Saturday afternoon.

The fire service received a report of a fire at Flesland Airport outside Bergen at 1.38 pm.

"A truck fire was reported," Stian Kvam told the newspaper Bergensavisen.

The fire led to the evacuation of the old terminal at Flesland, which resulted in three planes being unable to land.

At 2.30 pm, air traffic was back to normal.

"Safety is always the first priority. We have to follow the routines we have," Cathrine Fuglesang Framholt, communications manager at Avinor, told the newspaper.
