A man accused of entering other people’s farms to have sex with their cows was also found to have over 2 million illegal sexual images at home.
The man, who is in his 60s and from the Bergen area, was in court on Thursday but due to the “special nature” of the case, the judge agreed to hold the hearing behind closed doors.

The man was arrested in September 2015 and charged with repeated violations of animal welfare laws.

According to Bergens Tidende, a police investigation following the arrest uncovered 2,217,391 illegal photos and 3,496 videos of a sexual nature that the man had in his possession, including many showing extreme sexual abuse of infants.

Police attorney Sven Arne Dahl-Michelsen told Bergens Tidende that the man's sexual abuse of animals dates back to 2001.

“A part of the case deals with sexual intercourse with cows or calves on two farms that don’t belong to him. We’re talking about repeated instances. The extent of the abuse is some of what I will ask the defendant about today [Thursday, ed.],” Dahl-Michelsen told the newspaper ahead of the hearing.

According to Dahl-Michelsen, the man faces up to three years in prison for the child pornography charges and an additional year for the sexual attacks on animals.
