Norwegian woman murdered in Berlin
The woman’s body was allegedly found in a suitcase near the River Spree in Treptower Park in Berlin two weeks ago, according to German newspaper, Berliner Zeitung.
The reason for the delay in the announcement was that it took until this week to establish her identity. A German man was arrested early in the investigation, according to German police, but was later released.
It is believed that the woman, who was in her 30s, was killed in, or near, an art gallery in the Wedding district of Berlin, and then moved, in the suitcase, to the park, several kilometres away.
German police are searching for a South American man in his 30s.
The woman’s family have been notified.
