The King is travelling with his wife, Queen Sonja, and an unusually merry Royal Couple delivered their anniversary greeting with the help of a Norwegian media from the South East Asia country.

When NTB asked King Harald and Queen Sonja in Yangon on Wednesday morning local time about whether they were going to congratulate their grandchild, the King pointed out that Norway is five-and-a-half hours behind Myanmar.

King Harald said: “I guess he has not woken up yet.”

On the question of whether the Royal Couple will congratulate the Prince when he wakes up, the King answered with a big smile: “I think it depends upon Telenor.”

Queen Sonja added, while the King was still laughing: “We will celebrate on Sunday.”

When NTB’s reporter suggested that the Royal Couple could congratulate Prince Sverre Magnus on video right away, a smiling Queen answered: “Yes, that would be nice. She then delivered a special birthday message for the prince:

"Congratulations on your birthday!” said Queen Sonja.

The Royal Couple’s five day visit to Myanmar began last Sunday.
