Eight-year-old jazz diva wins Norway's got talent

Angelina Jordan Astar, the 8-year-old with a voice like a heroin-addled 1940s jazz singer, has become the youngest person ever to win Norway's Got Talent, with a rendition of Summertime eerily close to that of Billie Holiday.
Astar's uncanny take on 'Gloomy Sunday', another standard by the legendary jazz diva, blew away the judges at the start of the show in March, before becoming a YouTube hit. Her performance won 46 percent of the vote, leaving little competition for the 500,000 kroner ($80,000) prize. Astar was brought to tears when the presenter Solveig Kloppen announced that she had won. "Thank you to everyone who voted for me and thank you to Grandma," she said with tears running down her cheeks.
