Marine Harvest profits double

Marine Harvest, the Norwegian salmon-farming company, has more than doubled its profits over the past three months, as tight demand led to soaring prices for its products.
The company posted an operating profit of 1.08 billion Norwegian kroner ($181m) for the three months to March 31, more than double the 482 million kroner it earned in the same period last year. The company harvested 92,000 tons of gutted fish over the period, beating its own target of 80,000 tons.
