GALLERY: Nato troops' Arctic 'selfies'

As Russian troops were busy storming Ukraine's last remaining military bases in Crimea, Nato troops celebrated the end of their annual Cold Response exercise in the Arctic by posting dozens of 'selfies' online.
"During the Cold Response winter exercise, participants were encouraged to take 'selfies'," The Norwegian Armed Forces explained on their website. "We picked out some of the best entries." Everyone from the exercise's leader, Lieutenant General Morten Haga Lunde, can be seen grinning into their phone from the icy fields of far-Northern Norway. It's hardly going to have Russian troops quavering in their boots.
