Much as we love them, Norwegians aren't always the easiest people to get to know, let alone romance. So for anyone embarking on the disconcerting experience of dating a Norwegian, here are The Local's top twelve tips. Good Luck!

"Don't do it, that's your advice right there," said expat Marc-Antony Davies when asked for tips on dating Norwegians. "Don't be too emotional, it didn't work for me," said Caroline Griffin. 

"Seduction in Norway is not simple at all for foreigners," concludes Lou Déguin, an expat from France, who chronicled her experiences online dating in Norway in her blog A Frog in the Fjord. 

It seems that the dating world for Norway expats is fraught with peril.
