Ylvis to appear on Ellen talk show in US

Norway's Ylvisåker brothers have flown to the US to be interviewed on the Ellen DeGeneres show, as the craze around their YouTube comedy hit, The Fox, grows ever bigger on the other side of the Atlantic.
"We are glad we managed to make room in our schedule to appear, because it is a real honour to be part of such a renowned talk show," Vegard Ylvisåker said in a statement. "It's really fun." Hanne McBride, spokesperson for TV Norge, said that Ellen DeGeneres had herself personally requested that the two come on her show. "We have been told that it is Ellen DeGeneres herself wanted to have them, and that they have used the song to warm up the audience in the studio during the past week," she said. With an average of four million viewers a day, the Ellen DeGeneres show is one of the top five most watched programmes on US daytime TV. The song was closing in on 37 million views on YouTube on Thursday.
