Boats to ferry 10,000 reindeer to land

Reindeer herders this week began gathering up more than 10,000 deer on the Finnmark islands of northern Norway in preparation for their annual boat trip to the mainland.
The boats are set to start ferrying the animals across on 26 September, according to Norway's Reindriftsforvaltningen, taking the deer to their autumn pastures before a further move for the winter.
