French authorities on Thursday evacuated a Norwegian Airlines jet about to take off from Nice after a piece of paper with the words "Al-Qaeda bomb" and Arabic inscriptions was found in the hold.

The plane and all baggage were searched after the 127 passengers and the crew were ordered off the plane, airport officials said, adding that nothing suspect was found.

The plane finally left for its destination, the Danish capital Copenhagen, nearly three hours after its scheduled departure time.
