Norwegian player suffers heart attack on pitch
A top-flight football player in Norway, Carl-Erik Torp, was hospitalised after suffering a heart attack during a match
at the weekend, his team said.
Torp, a 27-year-old midfielder with SK Brann, collapsed on the field on Sunday about 10 minutes after entering the game against Sogndal in the 78th minute.
Rescuers performed cardio-pulmonary resuscitation on him before transporting him to hospital by helicopter.
"He is conscious and stable," the hospital said in a statement.
