Moroccan man swallowed kilo of hash

A 34-year-old Moroccan man had more than a kilo’s worth of cannabis in his stomach when he was stopped on Saturday by customs officers at Stavanger Airport, south-western Norway.

Police sniffer dog Benjy sought out the traveller as he passed through customs after landing on a flight from Malaga, the customs authority said in a statement.
At first the man tried to convince customs officers that he had come to Norway to seek work before eventually admitting that he had swallowed 102 capsules filled with hash.
The customs officers alerted the police, who came and took the suspect to hospital for an X-ray examination.
