World Chess Champs: Third tie for the titans

The world's two best chess players shared the spoils again in game five of the Chess World Championships in Sochi on Friday, keeping the series level at 2.5 points each.
Norway's Magnus Carlsen, playing with black pieces, drew against challenger Vishy Anand of India.
Carlsen‘s opening was more prepared this time and he had the counter-moves to contain his challenger. Anand got a bishop strategically placed high up on the board, which kept black from playing offensively. Despite his opponent’s positional upper hand, Carlsen managed to defend and earn a half-point for the draw. The game finished after the 39th move. The series is now tied at 2.5 points each and the first player to reach 6.5 points or more takes the title. The sixth World Championship chess game will be played on Saturday of this week, where Carlsen will be white.
