The unnamed male who is in his twenties was arrested on August 20th. He has told police under questioning, Kristiansen, his 23-year-old friend, made him help get rid of the body of 58-year-old Bjarte Hansen, the suspected killer's stepfather.

Both the arrested man and Kristiansen have given police matching statements to confirm this, said VG.

Kristiansen was questioned on Thursday for the third time in connection to the case since his arrest after an 11-day manhunt. He finally gave himself up on August 25th after escaping to Rotterdam, Holland.

Kristiansen has admitted killing his stepfather alone and threatening a friend to help him remove the body, but has pleaded not guilty to murder. He claims he has no memory of the killing.

The charred remains of Bjarte Hansen were found by passers-by on a campfire in the woods at Hafjell, in Øyer, on August 14th.
