VIDEO: Christmas shoppers battle winds

Some of the walkers give up completely, pushing half way across the street before retreating, others manage, walking at a 45-degree tilt.  
 
Ivar hit Norway's western coast with less than 24 hours warning on Thursday,  cutting off power to some 50,000 households, and leading to trains being cancelled on some routes. 
 
It passed over rapidly, moving on from affected areas in between two and three hours. 
 
The video has received more than a million hits since it was published on Friday.
