Man catches elk ordeal on video

"I was on my bicycle when I saw the elk and calf and I thought I would get myself a video of the pair," he told his local newspaper Fredriksstad Blad.

But only moments after he started filming the animal kicked him to the ground, and then thwacked him down again when he tried to rise.

"I was hit with full force and it was just luck that I came away with only a bruise," he said.  "It was not that smart, but I got a real adrenaline rush. I understand those who will say that this was irresponsible."
