Taking a break from training, players in Narvik in northern Norway put their balls to one side to send a cheeky summer greeting to their fans on Facebook.
Third division Mjølner may be languishing in ninth place after the first half of the season, but they put their troubles behind them this week by forming an impressive 11-man wall high above the picturesque port town where they play their home games, broadcaster NRK reports.
“The picture shows an attractive group in a beautiful setting, so this is our gift from Mjølner to the world, wishing everybody a good summer,” said coach Ivar Morten Normark, who orchestrated the move.
Supporters more accustomed to seeing these players leak goals might be forgiven for thinking this is the best tackle they’re likely to see all season.
